How exciting? My first entry on my very own site! I do, indeed, live in a farm house about 30 steps away from that big RedBarn you see in frosty winter dress. Every fall my family and I host 10 artists in the barn for three days as part of an event we call the Meander. It is great fun and a wonderful chance to meet so many new people from all around the midwest. There are also many other artist sites along the Minnesota River. I hear over and over about how folks long for the chance to get out into the countryside, even for a few hours, and enter into our slow lane. Through this site, I will try to share The Countryside of Life that many are dreaming of!
My life is full with family and my little “designing creative things” business. I’ll share some of my adventures as I get going in the next weeks and give you a peek into my life and this spot in the world. Preserving the changing sights of the seasons, the animals, the children, the flowers and the prairie with camera in hand. . . . .that is my fun. Customers have some favorite photo scenes that I have used on canvas prints and designed into handmade greeting card sets. When I can, I will post a few items for sale.
The slow lane is calling. . . .an apple pie ready to come out of the oven, a meeting later, company coming for the weekend-better cook and clean, chickens need food, carrots to dig, an order of cards that needs making. Is there really a slow lane out here?
