Beautiful, vivid colors, defying Minnesota winter, blooming up on stems pushed through the mats of swamp grass. . .wild Iris shares her miracle. The more of these natural wonders that I witness the more that I want to see. We can store up some extra beauty, in our souls. . .for a rainy day. I came upon the stunning beauty of the wild Iris last spring, along a path in northern Minnesota, near Menahga. It was enough beauty and joy, at that moment, to fill me and close off other worldly thought. Oh, I love when that happens!
“Nature never did betray the heart that loved her.”
